Does anyone else find it uncomfortable when on the first day of your period? It's really weird, I don't get it any other time. It's not even like constipation. Why does this happen?
Answer:
Many women have minor bowel problems when they have their period. Some women get constipated, others have loose stools, others have more frequent stools.
It's most likely due to a combination of factors, which is why it can be different for each woman. For instance, some women retain water during their period, which can cause bloating and overall abdominal discomfort. It just feels kind of like there's just not enough room in the abdomen.
Also, the uterine contractions (the same ones that cause menstrual cramps) can cause the bowel to contract as well, which can cause discomfort.
My best advice to you is to drink a lot of water when you have you period. It helps with the bloating, and also can ease bowel discomfort. And, make sure that you have a healthy diet that includes lots of good fiber-- like whole grains and fruits and vegetables. That will also help ease discomfort.
If it is severe, and you are having pain, make sure you talk with your doctor about it.
Hope this helps!
Your hormones are changing, that's what causes the flow. Drink more water starting the first day of flow. You might find eating oatmeal or apples help, too.

Painful boobs?
my boobs have been very sore lately can that mean they are growing..because its about time lol. i'm 17 and i got my period at 9 and still i have next to nothing
Answer:
sore boobs can your period is comming or your pregnant or just a hormone thing talk to your doctor if its an ongoing problem
Yeah it can mean they are growing. Or it can mean you are pregnant. Or it can mean your hormone cycle is changing, which happens about every 7 years...so you would be a little over due...Or it can mean you haven't had enough water (is it sore under your arms or by any other glands?).
Usually sore boobs is hormonal. Also, take heart, I was flat as a board until I was 19 or 20 (in fact, my best friend affectionately called me "chairman of the board"LOL), then I shot up to a B. When I was pregnant, I went to a DD, LOL. Now I've leveled out at a C.
i had the same problem. it started when i was 15(when my boobs FINALLY started to grow. i went from very flat to a 34B and that was the most painful. im now a 36C and i think im finally done, but i got used to the pain and tried ignoring it.

I want to see the down side to getting this thing inserted. The pros outway the cons I'm sure, but I just want to be aware of the hell I"ll go through while getting it inserted and adjusting to it..
Answer:
Yes, there can be pain with orgasm but when that it occurs it can mean that something is physically wrong.
I've talked to some others who tried the Paraguard and had pain on insertion.
Another place you can go to get even more information is at: http://forums.obgyn.net/womens-health...

Pain randomly everywhere, please help me?
Okay, all the time just out of nowhere I will get a terrible pain anywhere. Like right now I have a terrible pain on my collarbone. It isnt a part of it or a place I can say, its just the bone or muscle as a whole. A minute ago my wrist did it too. I don't know why it does this, but its annoying and it hurts. It feels like someone is crushing, or breaking it or something and it hurts really bad. At the most it will last for a few minutes, like five, but I want to know whats wrong and how I can make it stop. Does any one have any ideas?
Answer:
I would suggest going to your doctor and explaining to him/her all this in detail. Every now and then something similar occurs to me too. All of last week I would keep getting shooting pains in my right arm and then they suddenly stopped. See your doctor for the most help.
Please go see your doctor.
YOU NEED A GOOD INTERNIST. IT COULD BE ANYTHING FROM STRESS TO LYME

Pain in my neck, shoulder, and even chest??
Very strange thing... I woke up yesterday morning with my neck and back (top left side) and even a little of my shoulder, stiff and uncomfortable. I thought maybe I slept wrong. I tried stretching gently and just rotating my head in circles. It seemed alright for most of the day yesterday, but it did start to get worse last night. Then, I woke up at 5:30 this morning with more pain. I have been taking Advil every 4.5 hours, and it seems to be helping quite well. I am concerned thought, because I have never felt this way. Not only do I have pain in my neck and shoulder, but also the top part (above my chest on the left side, under my neck) and ever sometimes when I swallow. I am not sure what this is. I don't believe it is a herniated disk or anything like that - there is no burning, tingling, numbness, or shooting pains. Just stiffness and dull pain, but I am confused with the tenderness when I swallow and the discomfort above my chest. I have NO insurance currently. Please help.
Answer:
It may "just: be a spasm but since it is encompassing such a large area you really need to be seen. I understand you do not have insurance but.Go to the ER. They have to see you. You cannot continue taking Advil around the clock - it will tear your stomach apart before you know it.
RELY ON Y/A ?---I'D PREFERR TO OBTAIN A CORRECT ANSWER FROM MY PERSONAL M.D. !

Pain in my arms on waking?
I am a 63 year old woman and have started to get pain from my shoulders all the way down my arms.
I cant put one arm up behind my back
It is worse on waking but there all the time
Anyone know what it can be?
Answer:
Sounds as though there is some nerve problem here. Maybe something is being trapped from the vertebrae area. However, consult your GP, health is precious, take care of yourself.
sounds like a possible lack of circulation. could be the way you are sleeping or could be some kind of pinched nerve or other bone or nerve problem causing poor circulation. a chiropractor might be a good start.
I think you should see the doctor
Sorry to hear your not well, it sounds like arthritis go see a doctor to be on safe side good luck.
You must have lay on that side to long and got mustle ache
go get a check up could be bone d or worse still could be your heart younger woman like you usual have the one heart attack %26 dont make it through to the nxt one u are not as lucky as men get that heart cheked wish you well
dont let blah upset you ask god to help her she needs it wish you well to blah your realy sick i dont think your alo life just sick.
Pain in the arm from shoulders down to fingers - one reason can be lack of circulation of blood - as you might be lying on one side for quiet a long time - but if this case do you also notice numbness all along the arm.
Also if you have an history of hypertension or cardio diseases, meet a cardiologist - he might look into your ECG report.
however what appears more Osteoarthritis has set in ( w.r.t to your age ) consult an orthopaedic.
This kind of symptoms are generally observed in osteoarthritis / rheumatism, so I would suggest meet a orthopaedic doctor ( not orthopaedic surgeon ) at the earliest.
Also avoid activities like lifting heavy articles.
one precaution - if it is along right hand ( assuming you are right handed) can be working at the computer for long hours. quit it immdly.
Enjoy life
Sounds like athrutis
Hey, it could be frozen shoulder - yes i know it sounds stupid but the condition does exist.
It mainly occurs in older women and men, i hasd it a few years ago. Feel like you cant lift anything with that arm thats heavy. You cant even put your coat on without it hurting.
See your doc and if it is this ask him for physio, they will show you exercises to help relieve the pain and take ibprofen to take the swelling in the arm down.
The reason it hurts more in the morning is because you obviously havent moved it all night and i understand yor pain cos thats when mine was worse too.
If physio does not work the try acupunture - that is meant to be very helpful.
Good luck. xxx
i had severe right shoulder pain on waking for two years and it was from the crap mattress i slept on.got a new bed last year with memory foam top on it.(top of the range)and have not had a days trouble since.
cud b lactic acid building up or arthiritus.

Pain in left arm?
pain in left side neck goes down to shpulder an down left arm even to fingers..tingles most of time an arm has cramps.. could this be pinched nerve?
Answer:
It could be a pinched nerve, or it could be something else. Anytime you have pain in your left arm and neck you should see a doctor. Often times, pain in the arm and neck could indicate heart problems. Definitely see a doctor to rule that out.
could be. visit your doctor or urgent care to be sure.
prolly
Sure sounds like a pinched nerve to me. A chiropractor can help with that in just a visit or two. Check it out!
Yes it could be.also more seriously it could be a sign of heart problems I would seriously suggest you see your doctor sooner rather then later
you need to include some info about your age and other health factors. how long have you been experiencing this pain? have you had other symptoms that may be related? how was your last physical? do you exercise regularly? is there anything you can recall which may have set off this pain?
